UK Prime Minister Theresa May has announced she will resign on 7 June to make way for a new prime minister.
In a speech outside Downing Street, May said she had done her best to try to fulfil the 2016 EU referendum result, but that it was a “deep regret” that she was unable to deliver Brexit.
People on Twitter have already set their sights on a new candidate, however: the Downing Street sound engineer.
