There’s a weird thing happening with the latest Apple MacBook Air. We’re not exactly sure why, but it just gets cheaper and cheaper on Amazon. As of April 26, the base model is down to its lowest-ever price on Amazon, on sale for $899 (normally $999). We would usually recommend picking up at this low price, but they might be giving them away for free in a few weeks.
We jest, of course. Will it get cheaper? We can’t say for sure, but it seems unlikely.

Apple only released the M4 MacBook Air in mid-March, with open-lid support for two external displays and a new 12MP Center Stage camera in addition to the new CPU that everyone wants. Mashable’s Stan Schroeder said this model was “impressively powerful” and “the best-buy Apple laptop, period.” And that’s not all, because we recently named it the best MacBook for most people.
