SAVE 37%: An all-in-one smartwatch that will help you stay on track of your sleeping habits, fitness goals, and mental health, the Fitbit Sense is on sale for $188.25 (37% off its normal price of $299.99) at Amazon ahead of both Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, and walking season.
Fitbit is synonymous with wearables for a reason, and the brand brought its expertise in the market to bear in developing the Fitbit Sense, a smartwatch with a focus on mental health (as measured by stress levels indicated by physiological changes) as well as physical. In addition to the standard features we’ve come to expect from both quality fitness trackers and smartwatches — that’s the steps, distance, heart rate, etc. for both regular everyday activity and specific forms of exercise like biking or hiking, and Google Assistant/Alexa, Fitbit Pay, texts/calls, email, etc. — it takes their functionality to a new level with added options like Active Zone, which closely monitors your heart rate to optimize the intensity of your workout. Check out our extended review of all its extensive capabilities here.
Its nod to stress management comes in the form of electrodermal activity tracking, which monitors changes in skin temperature and asks you to self-report mood, information that it then combines with heart rate, sleep quality, and activity levels to produce a stress management score. And though simply seeing your stress reflected in lifestyle and physiological data doesn’t necessarily overcome it, it’s a good reminder to prioritize self-care at times when that might not be the first thing on your mind.
With all its fancy features, the Fitbit Sense may not be the wearable for everyone, especially with new Fitbits likely debuting sometime this year, but for those who enjoy having a bit more functionality to their smartwatch, it’s a good option. It’s also the most expensive Fitbit out there, so catching it on sale is a good time to pull the trigger if you were thinking about it, and at $188.25, it’s never been at a bigger discount before. (The other two color options are also on sale, just for a bit more at $199.95.)
