What is Black Friday?
Black Friday originally started off in the U.S. in the 1950s, where brick and mortar stores would host massive sales heading into the Thanksgiving weekend. It officially kicks off the holiday shopping season, and provides huge deals to the early birds. Over the past few years, Black Friday has grown in popularity worldwide, and in scale.
Here in Australia, deal events like this Lenovo Early Access Deals can start much earlier in the month! A recent addition to the shopping tradition is Cyber Monday, which caps off the deal period and was originally designed for online-only retailers. The Black Friday / Cyber Monday weekend is the perfect time to pick up a bargain, or get on top of your Christmas shopping early!
When do Black Friday sales begin?
Different retailers will start their Black Friday shopping periods at various times throughout the month of November. This year, Lenovo Australia have been running deals since October 30, as part of their Black Friday Early Access Deals event. These laptop, desktop and PC accessories deals will be live until Cyber Monday, on November 27.
When is Black Friday in 2023?
Black Friday 2023 is officially on Friday, November 24, and Cyber Monday takes place on Monday, November 27. However, the whole week prior has now become informally known as “Black Friday Week”, and early deals can begin to pop up throughout the entire month of November (like we’ve seen with Lenovo AU).
