Stephen Colbert had the tricky task of following the National Championship basketball game on Monday night, but fortunately the Ted Lasso cast were on hand to give the Late Show host some words of encouragement.
In the clip above Jason Sudeikis and the gang reassure a gloomy Colbert with the usual mixture of inspirational speeches worthy of an AFC Richmond locker room, camaraderie, and even a bit of tough love to get him through.
The highlight? A resigned Colbert gulping a mouthful of whipped cream only for Hannah Waddingham to hit him in the back of the head, spraying it everywhere.
