“You don’t have to peel back the layers with Trump — there’s one layer,” Late Night host Seth Meyers said on Thursday. “It’s a thick epidermis of Botox-infused pancake skin wrapped around a dark, howling void where a soul should be.”
In his new book The Room Where It Happened, former national security advisor John Bolton shares horrifying behind-the-scenes details about Trump’s White House. However, Meyers noted Bolton also proved how “loathsome and complicitous” he is by holding out for a book deal instead of testifying at Trump’s impeachment trial.
“Bolton has been a key figure in some of the biggest disasters of the last 20 years,” said Meyers, recounting how he advocated for the Iraq War and helped dismantle the pandemic response unit. Read more…
