In May, Samsung announced it would launch a debit card sometime this summer, an expansion of its Samsung Pay services. The company delivered: On Aug. 18, the Samsung Pay Card becomes available in the UK.
To launch the card, Samsung has partnered with fintech startup Curve, and the card is powered by Mastercard. But the partnership with Curve goes beyond pure name-throwing: The Samsung Pay Card will have the properties of a Curve card, meaning users will be able to bring together all of their other Mastercard and Visa cards and manage them from one place. This enables some unique features, such as the “Go Back in Time” functionality, allowing users to move transactions from one card to another after they’ve been made. Read more…
