DC Comics’ Watchmen imagines a world in which the existence of superheroes drastically altered the trajectory of global events, and HBO’s adaptation imagines Watchmen‘s version of the future as (much more) female.
Regina King (Angela Abar) and Jean Smart (Silk Spectre) star alongside Jeremy Irons and Don Johnson in a series based on the graphic novel. Over the course of the upcoming series, executive producer and writer Damon Lindelhof (Lost, The Leftovers) plans to flesh out the narrative described in the original DC Comics version and explore the Watchmen story further.
