Chinese smartphone maker Oppo, known for numerous attempts to get rid of the notch once and for all, has a new idea: a slanted pop-up selfie camera.
As seen in a series of leaks (including a video) posted by SlashLeaks, instead of hosting the selfie camera in a rectangular little pop-up box, the Reno’s selfie camera and flash are placed in a longer slab of plastic that rises from the right side only.

Other than the shape, the Reno’s popup camera is quite similar to other pop-up cameras we’ve seen — it shows up when you turn on the selfie camera app and retracts when you turn it off. Read more…
