Based on a legendary Chinese story originating from the 16th century novel Journey to the West, Anthony Stacchi’s The Monkey King tells the story an exiled monkey (Jimmy O. Yang) who goes on a quest to become immortal.
The problem? Dragon King (Bowen Yang), and a number of other monstrous demons, are standing in his way.
The Monkey King is available to stream on Netflix from Aug. 18.
