Black Widow is going to be late to the party (again), but it’s new and presumably final-for-real release is going to be much more pandemic-friendly now.
The next installment on the movie side of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is now set for release on July 9, a two-month delay from its previous May 7 premiere. But the shift also brings the exciting development that Black Widow will arrive simultaneously in theaters and on Disney+ via Premier Access.
That means you’ll be able to watch it at home with a Disney+ subscription, provided you pay an additional (one-time) $30 fee. Disney introduced the Premier Access option with the 2020 release of its live-action Mulan and then offered it again for Raya the Last Dragon, which released in theaters and on Disney+ on March 5.
