If you’re going to use metaphors that involve well-loved superheroes, you’d better be prepared for them to strike back.
This was something UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson discovered on Sunday after he made the mistake of comparing Britain leaving the EU with the Incredible Hulk breaking free of his restraints.
“[Bruce] Banner might be bound in manacles, but when provoked he would explode out of them,” Johnson told the Mail on Sunday. “Hulk always escaped, no matter how tightly bound in he seemed to be — and that is the case for this country.
