Is the PlayStation Classic percolating in the back of your mind? Can you no longer resist the nostalgia machine? Well, it’s down to just $40. You might as well buy it.

The PlayStation Classic initially hit shelves with a $100 price tag. And even though people can’t seem to stop talking about this throwback console, it hasn’t done too well. Every month, retailers slash the PlayStation Classic’s price by about $10 or $20 dollars.

Right now, Walmart is selling the PlayStation Classic for just $40. That’s less than half the retail price, and it’s hard to imagine the Classic getting any cheaper. At this point, you might as well just buy the dang thing.

Honestly, the PlayStation Classic is a good throwback console. Its poor sales reflect a lack of public interest, not a lack of quality. Sony just can’t cash in on nostalgia the way that Nintendo can.

The console is bundled with 20 classic games (at $40, that’s $2 per game), two retro Sony controllers, a “virtual memory card” (for games like Metal Gear), and an HDMI cable. It’s designed to look just like the original PlayStation, but it’s 45% smaller.

Here are the games that come with the PlayStation Classic:

  • Final Fantasy Vll
  • Jumping Flash!
  • Ridge Racer Type 4
  • Tekken 3
  • Wild Arms
  • Battle Arena Toshinden
  • Cool Boarders 2
  • Destruction Derby
  • Grand Theft Auto
  • Intelligent Qube
  • Mr. Driller
  • Metal Gear Solid
  • Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee®
  • Rayman
  • Resident Evil™ Director’s Cut
  • Revelations: Persona
  • Super Puzzle Fighter ll Turbo®
  • Syphon Filter
  • Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six
  • Wild Arms
