Emilia Clarke recently penned an op-ed for The New Yorker, detailing how she survived two brain haemorrhages while filming Game of Thrones. In the piece, Clarke wrote that after her first haemorrhages, she was diagnosed with having had subarachnoid haemorrhage (SAH), which is a serious, life-threatening type of stroke.
Clarke talked to Stephen Colbert about what it felt like to survive a brain haemorrhage and how the experience changed her outlook on life.
Colbert asked her whether she was aware of the fact she was having a haemorrhage. “Oh, you know. Yeah you know, you absolutely know,” Clarke said. “The easy way of describing it is that it’s the worst headache a human could possibly manage to experience.” Read more…
