Disney’s rebooted DuckTales doesn’t just draw from the beloved ’80s animated series for inspiration; it also pulls ideas from companion pieces as well.
In 1989, at the height of the original series’ popularity, video game publisher Capcom released a side-scrolling DuckTales game for the Nintendo Entertainment System. Much like the show that inspired it, the game was a hit, and one that’s proven to be an enduring success in more recent years, following a remastering of the original game.
