The seven members of BTS launched individual Instagram accounts today, Dec. 6, and it goes without saying that they’ve already racked up tens of millions of followers.

RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook are indeed verified on the app and posting A+ content. V, who has 15 million followers and counting, has already mastered the subtle art of the photo dump, while leader RM has wasted no time posting aesthetic photos and pictures of street cats (and tagging his bandmate SUGA, otherwise known as @agustd, who is characteristically the least active on the app thus far).

And then there’s youngest member Jungkook, whose username, @abcdefghi__lmnopqrstuvwxyz, is attracting major attention. For the uninitiated, it’s every letter of the alphabet except for… JK. Dancer j-hope goes by @uarmyhope on the app, which plays into his famous catchphrase, “I’m your hope, you’re my hope, I’m j-hope.”

Meanwhile, Jin and Jimin are keeping things simple and classic with @jin and @j.m., respectively.

The artists only follow each other and the group’s official account, which is used mainly as a promotional tool. BTS have primarily used their Twitter account, which they share as group, and their company’s community platform WeVerse to post personal messages. Now, with the creation of their IG accounts, the members have another opportunity to showcase their individual personalities — and fans are already loving it.

As of now, the only comments that are public on their pages are those left by their fellow bandmates, leading to some priceless interactions among the members of BTS.

Some of the best content so far? Jungkook taking guidance from fans about which photos belong on his grid versus which photos should be on his Story. And SUGA’s relatable first post. When translated, it reads, “Instagram is too hard :(.”

Fans are speculating that V broke Angelina Jolie’s record for the fastest Instagram account to reach 1 million followers, and Mashable has reached out to Instagram for confirmation.

BTS is coming off four nights at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. Their Instagram accounts have arrived the morning after HYBE, BTS’s record label, announced the band will be taking “an extended period of rest,” their first since 2019. Their temporary break will allow BTS to “get re-inspired and recharge with creative energy.” And these accounts will certainly give fans lots to discuss while BTS get that necessary rest and relaxation. BTS will be back in March for their Permission To Dance Concert in Seoul.

If you need me, I’ll be daydreaming about sitting on a peaceful seaside cliff with RM…
