In the Pixar movie, Heimlich is a chunky caterpillar who aspires to be a butterfly. His ribbed exterior, plump lips, and unfortunate bodily proportions make him looks, well, fleshlight-shaped.
Inspired by the memes, Austin-based artist Malek Lazri brought the joke to (bug’s) life. He painted over an actual Fleshlight with a caterpillar-inspired pattern, formed Heimlich’s face out of a silicone mold, and colored over his features with permanent marker to emulate Heimlich’s rosy cheeks.
