With the summer transfer window fast approaching Everton will struggle to hold onto their best player and prized asset Jarrad Branthwaite. The ‘Big Six’ have been tracking the defender, who has been a key figure for Sean Dyche, ahead of a potential summer move.

Branthwaite will also be hoping that England manager Gareth Southgate calls him up to the Euro Squad.

Brathwaite to leave Everton after magnificent debut campaign

The Premier League hit Everton with a six-point deduction, but the Toffees have been excellent this season and have escaped relegation. Their defence which includes Brathwaite has been effective in ensuring Premier League safety.

Blessed with pace and having the ability to be comfortable on the ball has allowed Sean Dyche to play the defender in virtually all games this season.

Branthwaite has been such an important figure for Everton at the heart of the Toffee’s defence.

The Everton defender has seen his value rise this season and it is the latest milestone in the career of Jarrad Branthwaite.

‘Big Six’ take interest in Jarrad Branthwaite

Whenever a player plays well in the Premier League, traditionally the top six teams tend to take a keen interest.

This is the case for Jarrad Branthwaite with the defender gaining interest from Arsenal. Manchester United most notably.

Arsenal is targeting Jarrad Branthwaite as they aim to build a title-winning team for next season.

Jarrod Branthwaite could be the perfect player in Arteta’s system since the Spaniard operates with a left and right-footed defensive partnership.

Manchester United is also interested in the twenty-one-year-old as they look to offload defenders in the summer.

The Red Devils have been blighted with injuries to key centre-backs all season with manager Eric Ten Hag constantly having to rotate his defence.

With Branthwaite making thirty-four appearances this season, it will spur United into making a bid for the defender. After United announced that Varane would leave the club, United will be in the market for a central defender.

With Tottenham not qualifying for the Champions League, it seems that Branthwaite won’t make the move to London. Regarding Liverpool’s interest, there is no way that Everton will let their top prospect join their arch-rivals.

Will Branthwaite make Gareth Southgate’s Euro Squad?

With the Euros fast approaching in the summer and the squad announcements imminent, the question remains whether England will include Jarrod Branthwaite in their squad.

Whilst England has a vast amount of attacking talent at their disposal and in terms of defenders, the selection of a quality ball-playing defender is scarce.

With Maguire and John Stones struggling with injuries through various points of this season, the Everton defender could jump ahead of either.

Given the fact that he has played nearly all of the Toffee’s games, Branthwaite will be available. Branthwaite seems poised to play a key role for England in the summer, having been selected in the last set of friendly games.
