Last week I had a fantastic opportunity to both attend and present at the 2022 “Association of Technology Leaders in Independent Schools” (ATLIS) Conference in Orlando, Florida. My presentation was titled, “Teaching about Conspiracy Theories and Media Literacy.” Afterwards I curated 100 of my tweets from the conference which include resource links, quotations from speakers, and other valuable takeaways I want to remember as well as share. Check it out, you don’t have to be on Twitter to view a “Twitter Moment” like this.
What’s your favorite way to both share as well as “curate” things you learn from events like conferences? If you haven’t tried creating a “Twitter Moment” you should! This support page from Twitter has more details.

Hashtags are VERY powerful ways to organize our own learning and notes, as well as “crowdsource” and share them as well. Understanding and using hashtags today is an important part of literacy and effective communication strategies. The default iOS “Apple Notes” app now supports hashtags, and I’m using them more there (privately) to organize my own thoughts and notes.
I wrote the blog post “Tags and Hashtag Literacy” in February 2022 and reflected more on these topics. I also reflected on these subjects in my September 2020 post, “Twitter Threads as Bear Traps.”
