“In 2011, a pair of 8-year-old twins put their heads together and created the nonprofit Adopt A Book. Hannah and Alex Laman have spent the years since collecting new and gently used children’s books to distribute in Cincinnati schools where children might not have access to home libraries.
In eight years, they’ve received and distributed over 160,000 books.
But they’re not children anymore. As Hannah and Alex prepare for college, they’re taking on more responsibilities that subtract time from their project.”
