Year in Reading is done. (“That’s all there is, there isn’t anymore,” to paraphrase the famous fictional nun referenced in Emily St. John Mandel‘s entry earlier today.) This concludes what I believe is our 14th year of running this series at the site. There were 74 participants, dozens if not hundreds of books recommended, and expressions of melancholy and joy and generosity and rage and befuddlement and petty grievance and pleasure and everything else that makes up a year in books and in life. Thank you for sharing it with us.
