It’s finally time to sing — and rap — about Bruno.

The cast of Encanto took to the stage at the 94th Academy Awards to perform the film’s viral hit song “We Don’t Talk About Bruno.”

Representing the winner of the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature Film were the voice actors of the magical Madrigal family, including Stephanie Beatriz (Mirabel), Mauro Castillo (Felix), Carolina Gaitan (Pepa), Adassa (Dolores), and Diane Guerrero (Isabela). They were joined by pop superstars Becky G and Luis Fonsi for good measure, and John Leguizamo — Bruno himself! — was there to introduce the number.

But that’s not all: Megan Thee Stallion also appeared to put her own spin on the iconic song, rapping about winning Academy Awards alongside the cast.

Unfortunately, the remix meant we missed both Dolores’ and Camilo’s verses, two of the most beloved elements of the song. (Justice for “seven-foot frame, rats along his back.”) And where was Mariano? Or the Mariano walk? A full-scale song and dance number is always appreciated, but those parts of the song were dearly missed.

And Twitter agrees:
