K-pop boy group Stray Kids finally made their U.S. late night talk show debut on Friday, performing their brand new single “Maniac” on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. It may not be a full interview, but I will take it.
Debuting in 2018, Stray Kids quickly built a reputation for their gritty, youthful, and experimental sound — as well as for producing their own music. Already gaining notable international attention by 2020, the eight-member K-pop group enjoyed a massive surge in popularity after releasing their hit song “God’s Menu,” while equally catchy follow up “Back Door” scored them two wins on South Korean music shows.

Stray Kids’ latest round of promotions kicked off Thursday with the release of “Maniac” and their new EP Oddinary, though deep-voiced dancer Felix has been taking it easy due to a back injury. Sadly, the group’s schedule was quickly cut short when rapper Changbin was diagnosed with COVID-19 after their first performance. Pre-recorded appearances such as the one on Colbert will still air, but for now Stray Kids are isolating.
