On Tuesday, the news broke that six Dr. Seuss books will no longer be published due to the racist imagery they contain, and unsurprisingly some Fox hosts weren’t too happy with the decision.
Luckily, Stephen Colbert has a solution for them. In the clip above from the Late Show (jump to 10:58) the host produces a book titled A Late Show’s Oh, the Books You Can Read, from which he proceeds to recite the following poem.
“So the book news you heard today just got your goose / And now you’re defensive for old Dr. Suess. / If you find that your book shelf just got a little bit duller / Consider these kids’ books from people of color. / There’s lots of new stories you might find quite good / Like Imani’s Moon by JaNay Brown-Wood / Want more suggestions?
