Earlier this year, SNL’s Pete Davidson paid tribute to someone he considered to be an under-appreciated character actor in a “Gucci Gang” parody as brilliant as it was obvious.
“Tucci Gang,” as the viral sketch was called, was a celebration of The Hunger Games star Stanley Tucci. Tucci told Seth Meyers on Late Night that he was “completely shocked” by the rap tribute.
“I didn’t know what it was based on, so my children had to explain it to me,” Tucci said.
